But now SpaceX is presenting its giant, the Starship. The Starship is\nbuilt in Boca Chica which is a coastal village at the southeastern tip of\nTexas. The Starship aims at carrying giant crews into deep space. Seeing this happen,\nNASA&#8217;s administration is bristling.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is occurring because the <strong>Crew Dragon<\/strong> which consists of an enclosure for carrying cargo and <strong>giant<\/strong> crew into space on top of a Falcon 9 rocket is still undergoing the final works and is well behind schedule. <strong>SpaceX<\/strong> awarded a <strong>NASA<\/strong> contract in 2014, said it would deliver an operational vehicle that <strong>astronauts<\/strong> could fly in by the end of 2017. In March, <strong>SpaceX<\/strong> finished one \u201cwithout crew\u201d mission to the International Space Station using the <strong>giant<\/strong> Starship. <strong>SpaceX<\/strong> planned to launch a crewed mission at the end of 2019. But <strong>Jim Bridenstine<\/strong>, <strong>NASA<\/strong>\nAdministrator, told <strong>CNN<\/strong> that he was not satisfied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, the Commercial Crew is\nyears behind schedule. <strong>NASA<\/strong> hopes to see the same level of energy\nfocused on the finances of the <strong>American taxpayer.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, the major question is why is <strong>SpaceX<\/strong>\nbuilding two ships? Why is <strong>SpaceX<\/strong> in an unrestricted tiff with the <strong>NASA<\/strong>\nadministrators?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starship is <strong>SpaceX&#8217;s<\/strong>\nresponse to a problem that began soon after <strong>NASA<\/strong> withdrew its space\nshuttle program, with its last flight in July 2011. At that time, <strong>NASA<\/strong>\ndidn&#8217;t have any other <strong>spacecraft<\/strong> ready to ferry people and supplies into\nlow Earth orbit where the International Space Station sits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SpaceX<\/strong> says the enormous <strong>spacecraft<\/strong>,\nStarship is in its final phase and will be able to carry at least 100 tons or\n90 metric tons of supplies into low Earth orbit. Besides transporting smaller\nloads, it is supposed to be capable of landing on the moon\u2019s surface and return\nto Earth. <strong>SpaceX<\/strong> has also explained that the Starship will one day carry\nup to 100 people, though that number would mean cramped quarters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SpaceX has never flown a person into the space in its original crew-capable spacecraft called Crew Dragon.
